Bull the dog is stolen from his owner the mountain man Grit Johnson and escapes from an abusive new master. Fleeing, the dog winds up on a farm where a boy named Joey takes in the dog as his own. When Joey’s father is murdered by two vagabonds Joey tries to run the farm, but is captured by Sioux Indians and taken to their camp.
There the boy and his dog are adopted by Kill Eagle, a mighty warrior of the tribe. Joey will attempt to become a Sioux himself. He must overcome the prejudice some of the tribe have toward “outsiders,” and others who suspect the boy and his dog of being evil spirits.
Joey now named Little Eagle and a Mexican boy captive of the tribe named Bastard Boy attempt to capture stray horses to impress tribal elders and become full-fledged members of the Sioux. Instead, the two boys are seized by a gang of murderous outlaw robbers.
The gang’s leader, the ruthless Francois, has no idea what he’s in for with an opponent like Bull the dog.
White Boy Sioux is a tale of boyhood adventure, brutal men in the Dakota Badlands, courage and culture of Native Americans and the unconditional love of a dog for his master.
