Ivan The Sabre: A Historical Novel

Ivan the Sabre is a 15th century warrior of the Cossacks, a fierce nomadic tribe of wanderers in the wild untamed Steppe of the Ukraine in Southern Russia. Renowned for his skills in combat and for the sword for which he is named, Ivan has devoted his life to the pursuit of fame as a hero to rival Hercules of the Greeks and Erik the Red of the Vikings.

When Ivan helps the Cossack hetman (leader) Boris the Pillager conquer the Tartar citadel stronghold of Halych; along with a treasure in gold and jewels is discovered a captured princess of the Byzantines of the Eastern Roman Empire.

Boris the Pillager and Ivan the Sabre decide they will take the princess to Constantinople and ransom her for gold to the Byzantines.

But Ivan becomes enamored of this woman and her charms.

Will she be his ruin?
