Rip Storm is an itinerant frontier circuit riding judge in the Territory of Wyoming. He presides over cases whenever justice is needed and wherever a court hearing can be held—sometimes in a log cabin, a saloon, even a clearing in the forest with only a tree stump for a bench. The Territory with its vast distances and lack of civilization is a paradise for desperadoes, killers, robbers, highwaymen, bushwhackers. They feel safe way out here where the law is often far away. But they soon learn to their regret—Judge Storm is not a man to be trifled with.

He wears two Colt pistols on his hip. He’s willing to bend the law if need be to bring evil men to their just rewards, in a howling frontier where justice often comes down to just one man with a law book, a Bible and a six gun.

The story is based in part on the real-life great grandfather of the author (same name as the author), a territorial judge, and one of the first Wyoming State Senators after statehood. It’s a brawling, gunfire, action-filled saga and proves the Biblical passage—When justice is done, it is a terror to evildoers.
